For our spiritual evolution, we must understand that we are only one and we are all one. Although we need to focus on transforming personal aspects, many of our challenges are related to other people. And that is where karmic relationships come into play.

Karmic relationships are relationships that exist to balance the karma of two individuals. Without much logic or reason, people seem to be attracted almost instantly. They may not know at first, but as time passes they realize there is a greater purpose that unites them.

Previous relationships that have not had a happy ending in some past life can be repeated in this one again. It is as if the Universe puts them side by side once more to be able to understand and overcome what badly separated them. Violence, abandonment and even death may have been responsible for so much misery in the past lives.

Signs that you have been into karmic relationships

Generally, karmic relationships happen from a very strong attraction. Do you know when you meet someone, and at first you realize that he/she has nothing to do with you? Personalities can be completely opposite and you can spend a lot of time reflecting on why you have become interested in that person.

The relationship may even be a little stifling. Everyday can be full of jealousy, many fights and misunderstandings. Sometimes you feel lost, frustrated and even unhappy. This sensation comes from the soul that urges to be free, but also knows that it needs to go through that to evolve.

If you have gone through some troubled relationship in the past few years, but have managed to a break up, think a little more. It is likely that only years after the end you wake up different.

A quick insight into doing some daily task can finally reveal what you needed to learn about yourself. These are often the most beautiful and rewarding revelations of a karmic relationship. The later feeling is of peace and of duty fulfilled.

Difference between soulmates and karma

There are those who believe that we do not have only one soulmate, but many. Soulmates are those souls who are on the same level of spiritual upliftment and come together to remain stronger. Having a soulmate does not mean you will be together forever, but that the relationship between the two of you will be well spent while it lasts.

It is usually a love born of friendship and understanding. The relationship has an aura of peace and collaboration because souls know they need to strengthen each other. The Divine places them under a sacred mantle, so that together they may have a harmonious relationship and achieve peace.

On the other hand, karmic relationships are more visceral and even slightly toxic. They are much harder to live than a relationship with a soulmate. They also serve a purpose in common, but much more personal. In a relationship like this, you will be confronted with the worst on your side and the other’s, so you can realize where you need to change to be able to go it alone.
