Psalm 46: the virtue of acknowledgment
We are always asking for something: a personal, professional, financial or any other kind of help. But, when it’s time to thank, do we know how to do it right? Or do we even remember that part too? See how the psalms will strengthen your relationship with the divine in order to give thanks for the grace you have attained. In this article we will look at the meaning and interpretation of Psalm 46.
Psalms of the day and the virtue of thanks
Even in times when everything is not perfect and exactly as we want, we must remember that we are still attended to in various requests we make. We receive constant graces in various ways and sources and we readily resort to many spiritual entities in the hour of need, but we must also make it a habit to respond promptly with thanks. In this way, with the psalms of the day we learn to show how grateful we are for our achievements and all the help we are given.

Used as healing resources for body and soul, the Psalms of the day have the full power to reorganize our whole existence. Each Psalm present in this vast biblical book has its power and, in order for it to become even greater, enabling its goals to be fully attained, the chosen Psalm should be recited or sung for 3, 7 or 21 days in a row.
Next we can cite the example of Psalm 46, one of the psalms of the day most indicated at times where grace is attained and gratitude for all the fullness in your life is necessary.
The power of psalm 46
Psalm 46 is well known and many may have heard it a few times. There is a lot of history behind it. Many scholars believe, for example, that this psalm was the inspiration for the hymn composed by Martin Luther – “strong castle is our God” – others say that it was created at the time God delivered Jerusalem from the Assyrians in the time of King Hezekiah.
However, this is one of the most powerful psalms of the day to thank for the graces and achievements. With faith and sincerity, read or sing the Psalm that follows.
1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.[c]4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
